Can't get into your StudyStream account, or want it back? What to do depends on what happened — find your situation below.
I deactivated my account and want to come back
If you deactivated your account yourself, it's easy: just log back in with the same email or login method (Google, Facebook, or Apple) you used before. Your account and data are restored automatically. (See: Deleting or deactivating your account.)
My account was deactivated or blocked by StudyStream
If you try to log in and see a message that your account has been deactivated or blocked, email our moderation team at webapp.reporting@studystream.live from the email linked to your account, and we'll look into it for you.
I deleted my account — can I get it back?
Unfortunately, no. Deleting your account permanently wipes your data from our systems, and it can't be restored — this includes your streak, stats, history, and friends.
If you'd like to use StudyStream again, you're welcome to create a new account, but it will start fresh.
For next time: if you ever want a break without losing everything, use Deactivate instead of Delete — deactivation is reversible and keeps all your data, and you come back just by logging in again. See Deleting or deactivating your account.
I was banned or removed from a room
If you believe you were banned or removed by mistake, you can appeal. Email our moderation team at webapp.reporting@studystream.live from the email linked to your account, with your display name and a short description of what happened in your own words, plus any evidence. Appeals are reviewed after a 7-day waiting period from the ban — the simplest route is replying directly to the ban notice email. Don't create a new account in the meantime — that counts as ban evasion (the new account gets suspended too) and can hurt your appeal. More details: Reporting users and appealing bans.
I can't log in (forgot my password or email)
- Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" on the login screen to reset it.
- Lost access to the Google or Apple account you signed up with? That login is your StudyStream account — we can't merge accounts or move data (including streaks) to a new one, so recover the provider account if at all possible. If your email account was compromised, start a chat with us: we can verify your identity with security questions and secure the account.
- Not sure which email your account uses? Start a chat with us at app.studystream.live or in the StudyStream app (no login needed) and we'll help you locate your account.
Still stuck? Start a chat with us at app.studystream.live or in the StudyStream app (no login needed) and we'll help you get back in.
